A PROHIBITED PLEASURE BECOME A DAILY RITUAL

Born in Ethiopia and then adopted by Arabs, for a long time coffee has been considered a prohibited delight by the Christian religion. At the beginning of the XVII century it was spread throughout Europe by the Venetian merchants and it became the favourite drink of poets, writers and businessmen.
Its stimulating properties, together with the slow pleasure of degusting it, made the fortune of great literature cafés: Florian and Quadri in Venice, Pedrocchi in Padua, Tommaseo in Trieste, down to the most famous ones, Greco in Rome and Gambrinus in Naples.
Having been an exclusive luxury, nowadays coffee has become
a pleasure at everybody's reach, without loosing that noble essence that made it famous everywhere in the world.

ANYWHERE YOU ARE, YOU CHOOSE "THE ITALIAN ESPRESSO"

Italy has always been considered the coffee authentic homeland: the
Italian Espresso is as famous in London as it is in Singapore, in Manhattan as in Rio de Janeiro.
The ground of this success has to be found: in the careful selection of the raw material, in the kind of toasting, in the accurate blend composition and, finally, in the grinding and extracting methods used in the bars.
Our national law has also played a role to bring the Italian market quality level higher, by fixing really severe rules for raw coffee importing.
In order to guarantee that its products' superior characteristics can reach end-users, DOLCE VITA has chosen to serve only qualified premises.
